วนอุทยานน้ำตกบัวตอง-น้ำพุเจ็ดสี น้ำตกบัวตอง และ น้ำพุเจ็ดสี อยู่ในเขตของวนอุทยานน้ำตกบัวตองและ น้ำพุเจ็ดสี เป็นแหล่งต้นน้ำอีกแห่งหนึ่งของเชียงใหม่ ลักษณะ ของน้ำตกบัวตอง มีลักษณะเป็นหน้าผาลาด ถูกปกคลุมด้วยหินปูน จึงทำให้น้ำตกมีความแปลก แปลกตรงที่ว่านี้คือ ตัวน้ำตกจะมีพื้นหลังเป็นสีขาว ซึ่งเป็นสีของหินปูนที่เกาะอยู่ เนื่องจากความที่หินปูนไม่ลื่นจึงทำให้สามารถเดินขึ้นตัวน้ำตกได้อย่าง ปลอดภัย นับเป็นความแปลกที่หาได้ยากอีกแห่งหนึ่งของสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวแห่งนี้นอกจากน้ำตกแล้วยังมี น้ำพุเจ็ดสี คือ บ่อน้ำที่มีน้ำใหลออกมาจากพื้นดิน หรือก็คือต้นน้ำนั่นเอง ที่ถูก เรียกว่าน้ำพุเจ็ดสีก็คงเพราะว่า เวลาถูกแสงแดดส่อง จะทำให้เกิดประกายเป็นสีรุ้ง จึงได้ชื่อว่า “น้ำพุเจ็ดสี”

วนอุทยานน้ำตกบัวตองและน้ำพุเจ็ดสี อยู่ในท้องที่หมู่ที่ 8 ตำบลแม่หอพระ อำเภอแม่แตง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ อยู่ในเขตป่าสงวนแห่งชาติป่า แม่แตง บริเวณน้ำตกบัวตองและน้ำพุเจ็ดสี มีสภาพป่าสมบูรณ์และร่มรื่น มีต้นไม้ขนาดใหญ่ขึ้นอยู่หนาแน่นเป็นป่าดิบชื้นและป่าเบญจพรรณ ลักษณะทั่วไปเป็นพื้นที่ราบและหุบเขาคล้ายกับกะทะใกล้กับน้ำตก มีจุดชมวิวที่สวยงามและมีส่วนหนึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ราบสามารถจัดตั้งเป็นแคมป์ไฟ หรือ ลานจอดรถ สำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวได้เป็นอย่างดี
